Sexy Samsung OLED Laptop

Sexy Samsung OLED Laptop

If you frequent this site, you’ve seen this laptop before. It’s Samsung’s OLED laptop prototype, and there’s good reason why everyone’s jaws seems to be dropping. First off, it has 12.1-inch 1280×768 OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display — a new screen technology that has been flaunted by Sony and others. — The contrast is so sharp that it’s hard to believe you’re looking at mere video, this is no exaggeration either. You truly have to see it to believe it.

Lets not forget about the sporty design, with those brilliant red accents setting off the midnight black case. Add to that the mystery of that panel (or whatever the hell that is) behind this beautiful bauble, and you have a recipe for very heavy anticipation. Also, how about a touch-sensitive keyboard? This thing defintes ‘high-tech.’

Still, the most exciting aspect of this tease: Samsung’s talking 2010 for a release date of even bigger 15.4-inch OLED screens on laptops, so this 12.1-incher might be on its way even sooner… (in our dreams atleast). The catch, as with all OLED tech right now, is the price tag for this razor-thin, ultra-sharp screens. For instance, Sony’s 11-inch XEL-1 OLED TV is currently selling for $2500. I suppose we’ll have fun gawking for now…

10/20/09 EDIT: It looks like the release of this laptop, as well as many others has been moved back to late 2010 or even 2011. Keep checking our Homepage daily for the latest updates on the release of OLED Laptops!!

which do you prefer from the looks of the Samsung oled and he LG oled notebooks?

i myself would go for the samsung just because of size and the keyboard looks like it lights up great whereas the LG actually looks like some sort of futuristic clipboard…

I actually think the touch-panel keyboard is really cool. Its one of the things I have wanted on a computer since I can’t remember when.

I would agree, the samsung definitely looks more aesthetically pleasing, and I also feel you could be more productive on it
